It was great to attend the West Michigan Construction Institute graduation and celebrate seventy-six students graduating from programs in carpentry, concrete, drywall, electrical, exterior envelope, plumbing, and sprinkler fitting. Their dedication and perseverance are building a stronger future for our skilled trades. Congratulations to all.

I was honored to attend the Calvin Prison Initiative graduation and celebrate the students who completed this remarkable five-year college program inside the Handlon Correctional Facility. The commitment these graduates have shown to education, personal growth, and community impact is inspiring. This partnership between Calvin University and the Michigan Department of Corrections continues to demonstrate how access to learning can change lives and strengthen all communities.
