A few things to note: Carnival doesn’t just go around knocking on guests doors in the middle of the night. I gave them instruction & explicit permission to knock on my cabin door after hours, no matter the hour, to return my personal property.

I don’t know who the culprit was, be it a child or an adult. What I do know is if it was a child, the adult had a responsibility to turn in an item they knew what not theirs. If it was an adult? There is no excuse.

Yes, I have learned my lesson about having an unmarked tripod. My tripod has many “property of” markings in both conspicuous and inconspicuous places to help prevent this in the future. Because I’m human, I can’t say that I will never lose it again, I just hope whomever finds it in that instance has better integrity than this individual/group.

The burger, something I don’t ordinarily partake of (outside of cruising with carnival) can definitely have that affect on you.

I like looking back on this one in particular because I am currently reaping the benefits of this mindset now with my ability to travel wherever almost whenever.
