This might be through social media, or talking to the people in your life about Standing Rock in order to spread awareness. It might be donating to standwithstandingrock.net. iO Tillett Wright is an activist who created the Self Evident project. She is photographing 10,000 people in the USA that identify as anything than 100% straight. Before the next presidential election, iO will be doing an installation in front of the Washington Monument. There will be 10,000 portraits arranged on the lawn based on where each individual identifies on the vast spectrum of sexuality. iO is using her talents to personify "the other". Amandla Stenberg only 16 and she's brilliantly explaining cultural appropriation in a video she posted on her tumbler page called "Don't Cash Crop My Cornrows". She explains, "Appropriation occurs when the appropriator is not aware of the deep significance of the culture that they are partaking in,”
