The URGE to PURGE! I’ve heard it said, “Either you own your stuff, or your stuff owns you.” Well, I feel owned! 🫣 I feel a deep desire to get rid of stuff we’re no where longer using or that I no longer enjoy and just get it out of here immediately! We recently went on a staycation in Orlando, where we stayed in a two bedroom condo. The space felt so nice. There wasn’t any clutter. Just a ton of empty shelves. I’m finding myself craving the simplicity. Have you ever felt that way?
What an incredible evening! Last night my husband and I had the honor of attending Polk County’s Premier America 250 Celebration — an unforgettable evening hosted by Stephanie Colon Stephanie Colon and Lori Brooks Bremer Long Lori Long. As a Marine veteran, this milestone held special meaning for him as we joined our community in celebrating America’s 250th birthday and the men and women who have defended the freedoms we cherish.
Held at the iconic SUN 'n FUN Aerospace Expo SUN ’n FUN Hangar, the night featured a moving program reflecting on 250 years of American resilience, leadership, and military service. From honoring our nation’s journey since 1776 to supporting mission-driven initiatives like the Mary Katherine Goddard Statue, the Path to Freedom Project, and the Aerospace Center for Excellence Aerospace Center for Excellence, the entire evening felt purposeful and powerful.
We enjoyed an incredible plated dinner crafted by Restaurant Nineteen61 , cocktails by Frankly Bartending, and ended the night dancing in celebration of our nation’s legacy and future.
Happy Birthday, America — here’s to 250 years of courage, sacrifice, and the spirit that continues to shape our nation. Thank you to everyone who put together this incredible event!
