New Beer Launch Friday - Farm Fresh Hop IPA
This year, we pulled out all the stops to craft a small, artisanal batch of IPA from 100% employee grown hops, including those from our own farm in Freeland, WA, and all harvested within 20 miles of the brewery, for a true taste of the place where this beer was born. We opted for a complex blend of noble and new world hops, creating a beer that has elements of both European continental ales and a traditional West Coast IPAs. We then brew until the small hours of the morning, taking our time to put wort in contact with fresh, wet hops at 8 different points in the production process. Our brewers at Penn Cove Brewing Company - Lake Stevens Brewery & Taproom Erick and Royce have officially brewed our first beer on the NEW Lake Stevens Brew System. Its a delicious wheat ale that is now fermenting and should be ready to serve in the taproom here in about 2-3 weeks. In the meantime, we have an Orange Cream Ale specialty beer that is being brought over from our Freeland location for our Penn Cove Brewing Company - Lake Stevens Brewery & Taproom Grand Opening tomorrow 3pm-11pm. We look forward to working with all of the local non-profit groups and helping to make a positive impact to the city of Lake Stevens and local surrounding communities. Tonight is Industry Night.
