Weekends are for breathing and resting and finding a place of calm. If I’ve learned anything the past four plus years of battling and dealing with Lyme - it’s patience and rest. Two skills I’ve yet to master. I’m in the middle of a 6 week treatment. My suffering is nothing in comparison to what is happening to others - it’s honestly nothing. I’m thankful it’s not worse. But sickness is any form it’s complicated isn’t it? I look normal from the outside no one sees and some don’t even believe - and yet the sadness and silent suffering is real. The frustration. The avalanche of emotion. I’m so good at powering through and pretending and being strong 💪🏻 . But weekends are for being real and regrouping.

I’m 48 and a plant addict. Anyone else?! I’ve been told this is an affliction especially in women over 40. Three of the EASIEST plants that won’t die and my faves:

1. Pilea (looks especially nice in head planters!)
2. Pothos (AKA ) you can’t kill these guys. Seriously.
3. Zamifolia known as the ZZ plant. These things grow in a closet. Little water. Lower light. So easy.

Happy October - admission- I’m not a huge seasonal decorator. I swapped out some pillows. I’m going to fill some vases with prairie grass. That’s my idea of a seasonal change.
