With the start of the new 9-weeks, Mom switched out her name badge holder to “Santa Paws”!

My friends @ Broussard Vet took great care of me over the weekend but it’s so great to be home 🥰

Got a tiny puppacino from SB on the way home.

I came right into my house and did a quick assessment of my 3 areas. Water bowls have been cleaned and filled with fresh water just like I want it 🙊

Now, it’s time for some lounging on my ottoman. 😴

Another successful rodeo is in the books! Students who earned their reading goals attended the Reading Rodeo on Friday. We had 98% of our students who were eligible to attend!

HUGE thanks to all of the parent volunteers. Without all of you, these events would not be possible!

Mom has tried several slings over the years. All have been awful and hurt her back. This design by Ruff Rescue Gear is extremely comfortable and doesn’t hurt her back one bit. It wraps around her waist and has a padded criss-cross strap around the back.

This hammock is specifically designed to support dogs who suffer from IVDD. I had back surgery at LSU vet school several years ago due to IVDD. It aligns the back and front while also supporting the areas.

I was eating snacks while in it so
I was totally comfortable and felt secure.

She never allows me to go out during car rider duty when it’s winter. This will be a game changer.

Weather was finally cool enough for an evening walk.

Have a few dachshunds out on the lawn for Halloween 🎃 I like the fact that dachshunds always represent.

Sometimes, you just have to take matters into your own paws. When you’re out of water & she’s slacking, flip your bowl. That will get her attention! The ceramic bowl on the tile makes a nice sound 🙊

Yes, I had fresh water in 2 other locations. But I need to keep Mom on her toes.

What a busy day! Started off by taking a ride on a flatbed, witnessed some readers on the benches, & attended a morning PLC. Hosted my classes & helped students select books.
Many students visited the library’s Makerspace and made some cool creations.
Students who met their AR goals are practicing on the bulls for the rodeo. We have LOTS of bull busters!

Had a pretty perfect Sunday. Visited Grandma & Grandpa today. They had their carport area resurfaced.

Now, she has a more level surface as well as ramps to use her walker. Hey, these ramps are safe for my back, too. I am testing them out for Grandma. ✅

Grandma gave me some cheese for my hard work testing out her ramps 🧀

Ended the day with a fun ride on the golf cart. Ear flappin’ fun!
