French Knot Story
French Knot was founded in 2012 by designer Lindsay Mason. She began the business out of her parent's barn where she worked day and night for six months to create her first line of accessories. In January 2013 the first line debuted in Salt Lake City, Utah at their first trade show. The business really took off after one short year.
From navigating Nepal to attending their first trade show, they have demonstrated a passion for creating and maintaining the business. French Knot has since moved out of the barn and have a separate warehouse location.
French Knot's products are made in Nepal by women artisans who take pride in their work. There are approximately 700 artisan knitters who create French Knot’s production. Many of these woman do their knitting from home, while others prefer to work together in knitting circles.
Lindsay Mason designs each piece in the French Knot line. From conceptualization to creation, she is driven to make sure each accessory is top quality. Lindsay sticks to French Knot’s story and roots to ensure each handmade item is made with fine, natural materials such as Mohair and Merino wools.
