The Tale of Leaping Leopard Antiques
Leaping Leopard Antiques is located in Lafayette, IN in Valley Plaza on the corner of 4th and Teal. Years ago this shopping center was referred to as Three Sons shopping center, which we still hear some of our customers reference even today! We are currently located next door to Devine Antiques and Klassy Klutter indoor flea market. Our specific location was originally a grocery store that opened in the 60’s, Standard Grocery Store. After that it housed a discount store, a lawn and garden center, and served as an auction house. Leaping Leopard Antiques opened in 2004, making it one of the oldest antique malls in our area. The original owner, from whom our unique name originates, ran the mall for about 10 years before the second owner took over. In August 2016, the mall was purchased by Steve and Heather Rich who currently manage it today. It is a co-op style antique mall where knowledgeable dealers who have been buying and selling for years will welcome you in. Our dealers, including the founder of the mall, will help you “leap” into your next big purchase for your home, help you find that one piece to add to your collection, or lead you to that perfect gift for a loved one. Whether you have been collecting for years or just recently contracted the antique pox, we are here to help! With 13,500 square feet and multiple vendors, we have a wide variety of merchandise to choose from. Primitives, mid-century modern, j***y to funky, vintage collectibles, antique toys, repurposed furniture and lighting, artwork, vintage clothing, pottery, tools, cast iron, books, coins, and jewelry. We also offer Blackberry House Paints and supplies, locally made candles, melts, and gifts from the Hoosier Candle Company, and primitive home décor items from Valley Primitives.
