What a great day! We had the honor of presenting a check to the Jeff High School Music department this month to help the students with all their fees they incur when they take part in music programs. We got a chance to listen to the orchestra rehearse and talk with the students. Thanks for helping us support education in our community!

As we wrap up our facelift of our parking lot at 101 Plaza Lane, we have to finish the project with a complete resurface of the lot. Unfortunately, this means we have to close the store for just one day! However, we promise it will be worth it.

Tomorrow Wednesday August 30th our 101 Plaza Lane location will be closed. We will reopen with a new parking lot Thursday at 10am. All other stores remain open!

Many of you know about the guinea pig our staff found living underneath one of our storage sheds. We named her Millie, of course! She has become quite a star living with us for about a year. Our staff and volunteers feed her and take care of her every day, however, as she grew we were worried for her safety living outside. Today we are so thrilled that Millie has found a permanent loving home where she will be cared for and be safe! Our staff and volunteers will miss her dearly but will come to visit! Thanks for being such a sweet loving friend Millie!

What a great day! Today we surprised one of our part time employees with a scholorship to IU to study elementary education. Mariah has worked for Millie’s for a couple of years and has demonstrated great leadership, hospitality, care and love for Millie’s and our community. Her family and some of our volunteers and staff surprised her today on one of her last days of student teaching before she heads off to college. Millie’s is so proud to support two scholarships a year to those who either work or volunteer at Millie’s. Congratulations Mariah, our team and customers will miss you!
