Good morning ☀️
The page has been quiet lately. June has been full of family time and traveling. It’s been lovely!
But I’m SO glad to be home. And my full time job that shall not be named while on vacation is lurking at the end of July… so time to lock in!
Sales have slowed down since I had to extend shipping while away but given this is a one woman band it has to be done. Summer is slower in sales anyway since people are traveling and looking for deals comparable to Prime days.
Through the end of June, I’m organizing to prepare for the second half of the year. Old/Stale inventory is being sold on clearance and then being pulled. Each client will get a message by July 1 asking what you’d like to do with your items that are being pulled:
Option 1: take them back
Option 2: I’ll donate them for you next week
Lots of beautiful growth coming the second half of the year! I’d love to have you join me for the ride ❤️
As always, check stories for recently sold items.
Message me if you want to get on the exchange calendar for July! I know I have a handful of you waiting for contracts. I haven’t forgotten about you but I also need to be able to walk through my shop 🤣. They’re coming, I promise.
Start packing your boxes!

Vacation.
Some of you know, I have been on a little staycation with the family. I decided to not put my stores on vacation mode because I know it kills sales when I do and I would still just drive back-and-forth occasionally to ship items.
I’ve learned a few things while being on vacation that I want to institute moving forward to grow the business:
Never again will I think that I can handle shipping and being on vacation 🤣. Leaving the lake to come package up items was not my best idea. I did it. But I did not want to do it. I need to make sure I take true mental breaks moving forward.
Throughout the rest of June, I will be focusing on cleaning out dead and old inventory. It takes the same amount of time to ship a six dollar sale as it does a $60 sale but the end result on profit is substantially different. I would rather sweat shipping a $60 sale than a $6 sale.
I’ll be reaching out individually to those of you who have contracts from a while back to see if you want to have your inventory back or if you would like me to donate it for you.
I’ve had a handful of people reach out over the past week to exchange inventory and I know you are all waiting for contracts while I am on vacation. I will be getting those to you soon!
Some of you have asked about the process of me deciding what items I will list and what items I will give back to you and or donate. Someone suggested I should do some videos going through intakes and while I am not one for the camera, I promised to try to think of some way to show you all items that are great intakes versus items that are better to donate or go to local resell shops.
The main goal moving forward will be to continue to increase in inventory while increasing our average sale price.
Thank you for attending my rambling of thoughts! I will be back full-time on June 23. If I have already spoken to you about an exchange on Wednesday night or Thursday, I will be in contact!
May payouts have been sent…
You know what I’ve learned?
I need consignment software.
My excel sheets work just fine but HOLY MOLY did that take me a whole day!
I need something running in the background that isn’t ME lol
Let the research begin.

Now I sleep 😴

Well. My 100% feedback streak is over. I had a good 6-9 month run…
Buyer #1 claimed the product I sent was half used. I video my items being weighed that are liquid for this purpose. The weight was way over contents and packaging but she insisted I am scamming her. I offered a 30% refund and she could keep the product just to avoid dealing with the return and an angry client. She refused and left a negative review anyway.
Buyer #2 received an item that was the wrong color lip liner. I told her to keep the item and I’d mail her the correct one at no charge. Negative feedback.
Moral of the story is that even when I do my best, people are going to remain unhappy and that’s ok. I tried. I have loads of positive feedback counteracting everything they hated.
What do I do? Keep listing. Keep selling. Keep making money for us. And hope their day got better ❤️
And guess WHAT?!? I’m off school tomorrow!
That means LOTS of pickup availability next week.

30 sales packaged up today from the 3 day weekend 🙌🏻
I’m sweating lol
Had a beautiful getaway weekend with family this weekend and being able to make extra money for my family AND you while I kayak… I’m grateful.
I’ve never talked about when CTX Consignment started but it was about a year ago. I’d been selling myself for a few years and then the consignment side just happened. I honestly had no expectation for it to grow into the successful little business it has this past year. I love it so much!
Thank you to all my consignors that have trusted me. I truly appreciate each and every one of you.
I have. 1. More. Week. Of. School.
This week will have openings for pickups. I’ll post the schedule tonight.
May payouts are Sunday 🙌🏻

When you’re listing a puzzle that you didn’t know was open…
And you drop it all over the floor…
And you count twice to get 499 😫
20 minutes later, I found the piece on the floor 🙌🏻
Yes, puzzles sell! Some for good amounts of money. Obviously, new sell better.

I sell a lot of clothing. A lot.
Fun fact… I use to HATE selling clothing (not anymore). If you personally know me, you know I’m not a clothing girl. I’ll buy 10 plants before I buy a new pair of pants lol.
I’ve had to learn a lot about brands and demand and style keywords and so many tidbits of info outside of my comfort zone with clothing. It’s my FAVORITE to ship though! So. Easy.
Shaking up the usual listing of clothing with vintage items makes my heart happy.
How cute is this vintage piggy bank ❤️?!?
Kids love vintage toys. They’re simple. Little Tikes items are a big hit online, both modern and vintage. I’ve sold vintage doll houses, barns, fire stations, and more that had peeling stickers and missing pieces.
Why? Simplicity. Vintage toys don’t have the flashy bells and whistles. They put the play back in the child’s brain versus the toy. The world craves imagination and simplicity and is distracted by the rest.
I try to fill my classroom with as many simple, classic items as I can and I promise you the kinders love them! And so does the world of EBay.
Have vintage toys hanging out in your garage?
Let’s make some money!

When I go out to any antique mall, resell shop, thrift store, boutique, ect… I do my best to buy SOMETHING no matter how small. I’m aware that each customer provides an opportunity for a small business.
Went into an antique mall today specifically looking for a few gift items and didn’t find what I was looking for so I bought rocks.
For a whopping .50 each they’re going to be added to my science center at school! Not a big purchase but at least it’s something to
