Aware Central Texas

🐪 Uh-Oh, guess what day it is! 🐪 Guess👏🏻what👏🏻day👏🏻it👏🏻is! It’s Hump Day AND Wisdom Wednesday!

Were you aware of Aware Central Texas? Well, now you are. Nationally recognized as a Child Abuse Prevention Center, Aware offers educational services such as parenting classes and anger management classes, child health and safety classes, and even offers a family violence unit.

Aware’s family violence unit provides a weekly Women’s Support Group to domestic violence survivors in the Central Texas area. Remember, you’re never alone and there are always survivors and experts on standby to get you out of a bad situation.♥️

Call the 24/7 hotline at 254-813-0968 or visit their website at for more information. Also, check out for a wishlist Aware has set up to donate supplies directly to their organization.🤗

We had a great time training with Amanda Elkanick, Texas Advocacy Project and Kim Farbo, Texas Association Against Sexual Assault (TAASA) in Cameron, Texas last week! Advocates from Aware Central Texas, local law enforcement, and CASA of Bastrop, Fayette & Lee Counties volunteers learned more about each other's roles and how they can create collaborative solutions together.

Thank you to the Cameron Fire Department for sharing your space, and to Hecho En Texas for the AMAZING BBQ!
We had a productive afternoon here at the Chamber learning about Human Trafficking and how to prevent and identify it.
We look forward to cohosting more of these informational workshops with Aware Central Texas where you can walk away with a certification for free!
Stay tuned for future workshops. #hhchamber

We are thrilled to add Rockdale PD to our growing list of law enforcement partners. We are grateful for your interest in providing a trauma informed response to the investigation of sexual assault.

Many thanks to Misty at Aware Central Texas for helping connect us.

Also...another shout out to H-E-B for your generous donation which funded this room. It is the 2nd room which has been fully funded by H-E-B.

Once again, Loloi Rugs generously donated the gorgeous rug which looks amazing in the room!

I had the added pleasure of my favorite Aggie driving over to help with the install!
