The HST Summer Youth Camp will run for 4 days from 9 AM – 12 PM. The camp focus is on baseball instruction and drills to improve the skill. Each day will begin with throwing and catching drills. The session will be followed by position training. Each player will learn about each position on the field. Each day there will also be a specialty skill learned. These skills will be base running, sliding, and bunting. Each day ends with games. Games are modified to meet the skill level of each age group.
WHAT TO BRING
Each camper must bring his own baseball equipment. Players should bring a glove, bat, helmet, cleats/spikes, running shoes or turf shoes, hat, and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete. A limited supply of helmets will be provided.

The HSC Summer Youth Camp $135 tuition is due by June 17. To cover insurance, facility and staff costs there are no refunds after June 17. Prior to June 17 refunds will be given minus a $35 administrative fee. Late registration will be taken at the door. There is an additional $35 charge for late registrations. Walk-ups will be taken however the late fee does apply.

The HST Summer Youth Camp will be held at Longwood University.

Registration and Check-In will begin at 8:45 on June 20 at Buddy Bolding Stadium. Space is limited so please register early. Late registrations will be accepted for an additional $35 fee.

Virginia Dixie Youth Baseball announced that we may have regular season baseball starting after June 11 and playing through July. We are optimistic but realize changes may occur depending on how the phased reopening goes. We appreciate your patience as we wait. Once we receive more definitive information on the start of games and when practice can begin coaches will receive their teams and they will be in touch with parents.

Effective January 1, 2018, all 2 5/8” bats and 2 1/4” bats used in Dixie Youth Baseball must meet new performance standards established by USA Baseball, the national governing body of amateur baseball in the United States. The new bats will be available for purchase in September 2017. Any bats with the BPF 1.15 stamp will not be allowed in league and tournament play beginning in 2018.
Beginning in 2018, all legal bats will NOT show “Approved For Play in Dixie Youth Baseball” on the barrel of the bat but will show the following stamp 1-2 inches above the grip of the bat:
