Company 7 with Ladder 7 and Engine 72 training at the industrial park Tuesday night. This truck is not only a valuable asset for our department but for the surrounding area as well. We are honored to be supported by our wonderful town and so many others in our area. That support has made all of this possible.
Thanks to Danny Cooper for the drone pictures used in this post.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH-The watch is for counties along the US-58 corridor from Galax/Martinsville south and east toward Reidsville/Danville until midnight. The main threats remain damaging winds and hail. An isolated tornado or two cannot be ruled out.

This Saturday!

Updates on the incoming weather:

Please share this information and begin to prepare. There will be bad weather coming our way.
WEATHER ALERT THURSDAY-Here's a snapshot in regards to the severe weather potential Thursday. Timing looks to be in the afternoon & evening with the greatest impacts south of the US-460 corridor where the best storm energy can be found. Be prepared not scared & have a way to get warning.

A few things about tomorrow:
- Most of us bring our kids with us. This is a family/kid friendly event. If toddlers/young children being in a close proximity bothers you in the space we are working with and/or a sometimes crying baby makes you lose your concentration, this isn’t the place for you. We value cornhole, but we value our kids/family more.
- There will only be two tournaments. 1 BYOP + 1 Blind Draw.
If you value friends, family, supporting an organization that benefits YOU should you ever need to make the call for them, and having a good time — then come on — otherwise, we kindly ask that you keep the negative energy out. 😉
The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Fire Warning for Charlotte County today 3/11/21. WIth dangerous fire conditions between the hours of 10AM to 7PM. Burning is not advisable.

Thank you to everyone assisting and organizing the hot meals for residents in need.
Tomorrow 02/20/2021 at 2:30 PM we will have hot meals available at the Keysville Fire Department.
A trailer is setup at the fire department to provide hot showers, washers, and dryers for use immediately.
Please see the pictures in the comments.

Young helpers today to fill jugs before this storm! Thank you to this sweet man for allowing us to take his picture with one of these young ladies helping today.
If you are in need of:
- filling up your own water (bring your own jugs!)
- shelter (the Bingo Hall is open for a warming station)
- in need to charge your devices
- blankets
- water
- Gatorade
- protein bars
- muscle milk
- self heating meals
- food boxes
We will be there starting at 10AM-5PM today. We have limited supplies so it’s first come, first serve.
We also ask that you do not park in front of any of the bay doors in case we have a call, but we have arranged it to where you can park and back up to the water hose on the first bay door for the fill station.
Please spread this to the elderly as well. We know a lot don’t have Facebook.
Thank you!

WINTER WEATHER ALERTS-Here's a quick snapshot in regards to our Winter Storm Watch late Wednesday night into Thursday. Heaviest corridor looks to remain along the I-64 stretch into the Alleghany Highlands and Greenbrier Valley where the air will be the coldest. Further south of I-64 and US-460 it's all about the ice with significant ice accumulations likely once again across the NC/VA Piedmont and Southside.
If you have need for a warm place to stay tonight with power available we have the bingo hall open and will allow entry. Please bring whatever you need with you to sleep on. We only have the space to provide but if you need please don't hesitate to use it.
