A lot of you have been asking if all the beaches in Key West are covered in sargassum. Here’s an update from the Gulf side: Simonton Beach is currently clear with no seaweed at all!

Today’s beach update from Simonton Street: while some areas are seeing sargassum, there are still plenty of beautiful spots on the other side of the island with clear water and little to no seaweed. Paradise is still here—you just have to know where to look! 💙🏝️

Have you ever seen Key West like this before? 😔
The white patches along the shoreline aren’t shells—they’re unfortunately dead fish washed ashore due to recent conditions.
It’s a heartbreaking sight for locals and visitors alike, but we’re hopeful that cleaner waters and better beach days are ahead. 💙🌊
