Vicky Bakery has made it to Key Largo, FL 🙌

The perfect ending to a nice morning: pulling up to Snooks Bayside on the boat and enjoying lunch with a view. Coffee was my favorite part, but the food was good too.

If you’re lucky, you can see an airplane take off from Tavernier Creek in the neighborhood’s private runway. David says he wants to live here when he grows up.

Hog Heaven BBQ: if you’re in the mood for bbq and a break from seafood, this is a winner. My husband is obsessed with ribs and says they are the best he’s had. You can bring your boat up to it. The view is great and we were told that with kids, lunch is the time to come. It is more geared towards adults in the evening.

What an amazing and personal experience at the Air Museum at the Marathon Airport. It is free of charge… just bring a cash donation. Eddie, the pilot, was truly amazing and made the experience for the kids so personal and special.

Sombrero Beach in Marathon is an hour drive south from the house and a beautiful beach. It has a great playground area and also clean and spacious changing buildings/bathrooms.

Took a drive down to Big Pine Key to show the kids key deer in the neighborhood. The drive is absolutely beautiful down there. The view from the bridges take your breath away. Our wildlife adventure didn’t end at Big Pine Key. We stopped at Marathon City Park on the way back, which houses about 20 wild chickens and roosters 🐔 near the playground. 🐓 🦌

Visiting the Whale and Dolphin Hospital: Marine Mammal Responder Non Profit

The Islamorada local library 📚 had so many activities, such as a scavenger hunt, puppet theatre, arts and crafts table, story time, and much more.

Library Beach Park: We stumbled upon this little hidden gem in Islamorada, about a 15-20 minute drive from the house. It is located behind the Islamorada public library. It has a nice swing area, playground, tiki hut with picnic tables, AND a small area to launch kayaks or swim. Next time we come, we are bringing our bathing suits. 🩱

The water at Alligator Reef is the most clear and beautiful turquoise color. It is a short 10 mile boat drive from the house (less than 30 minute boat drive).
