It took some time to gather the courage to post this. Leaving my mistress behind has been difficult, as only part of my dream was accomplished. However, my love for Tricia and knowing Morning Magic will be well looked after has made it easier. The new owner had an accident with a sister ship, H460, and you can see them side by side. He is transferring his belongings from the damaged vessel to Morning Magic, which will embark on a similar journey that I had hoped to complete. I wish him fair winds and following seas. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/2CT9ZmiczrBWJ46Z/?mibextid=KsPBc6

Sitting in Kalama WA for the night. Nice place and very friendly harbor department They got a laugh about my experience in Rainier.

We stopped in Rainier, OR last night. They had a big empty dock. Funny thing is that their marina board decided that no vessel over 40 can stay there. No signage anywhere with this restriction. So this morning when I called the harbor to pay, I was quickly told that my boat is too big for the dock and have to move immediately. I asked how much do I owe and was told to just leave. Well it was a nice place otherwise. Friendly town but not so friendly harbor department. As you can see the dock is quite large and robust than the one I am on tonight in Kalama WA. Oh well.

We are now in Astoria. Probably the roughest ride I have ever had. Huge swells, entire day of beating into the wind, then another day of surfing huge swells. Everything in the boat was tossed.
