Come out for dinner and stay for the music tonight. The Kent Roots Festival is back. Music starts at 9PM. Serving food until 10 PM. Venice Cafe serving drinks until 1 AM.

Kent American Roots Festival 2026 presented by Wayside Furniture & Mattress is proud to present The Modernes live at Dominicks from 6PM to 9PM!

Guitar-Forward and Take No Prisoners. At the core of The Modernes is guitarist Bert Franco. A telecaster-clad-madman with a pedigree in country, rock, and blues. A Retro-sound with a forward-thinking approach to songwriting. The influences range from guitar greats like Chet Atkins, Eddie Van Halen, and Jimi Hendrix alongside modern songsmiths like Jason Isbell, and The Hold Steady. Joined by Nick Frank (formerly of The Karkadens/All But Violet) and Doug Gallo (formerly Rubix Groove/Shoreline Funk Allstars) the trio is rounded out by a powerhouse rhythm section. The band is at home with long sets in dark clubs or power hours at festivals across the Midwest.
