The wait is over.

We are hosting a FREE Strength and Speed Clinic for athletes, Saturday, October 30th at ANCHOR life + fitness.

The event is 10:00-11:30am.

The clinic is open to male and female athletes (6th-12th grades) who want to learn how to improve speed to perform better in their respective sport.

The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) recommends adults from 18-65 years should participate in moderate intensity physical activity for a MINIMUM of 30 minutes on 5 days per week or vigorous intensity for a minimum of 20 mins on 3 days per week.

Now, the question is… How much time are you sitting in front of a computer each day?

If you are sitting for too long (4+ hours per day) you increase your risk of chronic health problems including heart diseases, diabetes, and some cancers. It can also be bad for your mental health.

ACSM has consistently stated for years, exercise is medicine. Or, we like to say, movement is medicine!

Are you sitting in front of a computer for 4+ hours per day which is leading to back pain, hip pain, neck pain and overall bad posture? If so, then it is time to get up and get MOVING!

1. Start with taking a walk every day. It can be as little as 5 minutes and slowly increasing each week.
2. Set a timer at your desk and stand up and walk around the house every 30 minutes (minimally) and get moving!
