UPDATE: as of 5:00pm 3-8-22 the water leaks should be repaired. Everyone should have water now. It may be less pressure for a little while as everything fills back up.
THANKS to everyone for their hardworking and to our citizens for their patience.
I would first like to thank you all for being patient. We have had a 10 inch water main break. It is also located in a spot that has been most difficult to access. Crews have been working through the night to get the problem fixed. We hope to have the water restored in a few hours. Rest assured, we know how important this is to everyone. Please bear with us as we work through this process.
Next I would like to thank my Maintenance Workers, Water Treatment Plant Operator and Wastewater guys for being diligent and working above and beyond. I would also like to thank the ladies in the office for fielding many calls and informing the citizens.
A second 10" water main break was found early this morning. Crews are currently working on it and HOPE to have water restored by lunchtime. We apologize for the inconvenience. Some of the town crew has been working all night so please be patient with them and appreciate all their hard work.
We currently have a water leak on South Broad that will take some time to fix. This will effect water to most of the town for a few hours. Sorry for the inconvenience. We will be working hard to restore services.
Town Of Kenbridge
At our last council meeting, the Town Council of Kenbridge presented Fire Chief Richard W. Harris, "Dicky" with a resolution for his service of 50 years as Fire Chief to the Kenbridge Fire Department. For protecting the Town of Kenbridge, the businesses and the citizens of Kenbridge, the County of Lunenburg and the surrounding Towns and Counties. His personal sacrifice will always be respected and recognized. Dicky was quick to recognize his family, who were in attendance, for allowing him the ability to serve in this capacity. We will forever be thankful for his and their sacrifice. The resolution was presented by Mayor Ken Blackburn. Thank you Dicky.

Please follow all ordinances and Please be careful out there!!!
On behalf of the Recreation Committee and the Town of Kenbridge, I would like to thank all of those that came out to take part in the Open House that was hosted at the Kenbridge Recreation Center on Saturday. We had a blast!! A special thank you to our vendors who were great the whole day, there was a great variety of items for sale and some of our vendors sold out!!! The response by the community was amazing. You all rallied behind a great cause. Donations were very generous, and we will put them to good use. As many of you that came were able to see, we are well on our way to total revitalization and we started with the inside first. There are big plans in the future of this great building. The Rotary of Lunenburg got the ball rolling with a wonderful donation, presented by Tracy Gee, David Hite, Tommy Wright and Liz Hamlett to Rec Committee Chairwoman Wanda Morrison. The ball kept going on all day with citizens taking to the internet with challenges to add to the GoFundMe page that can be found on the KRC page. Along with donations and 50/50 sales, (that were donated back in full), the steps toward making the KRC a place where we all can enjoy were moved a little farther down the road. A heartfelt thank you to all who helped with clean up, set up, volunteered during the event and with clean up afterward. This is a journey that has just begun, but with the help of a great community, both personal and business, we are well on our way. Thank you all!!!
Town Of Kenbridge
We just wanted to send a thank you out to the Town Public Works Department for the hard work last night in the cold, muddy situation after hours to keep the water flowing in Town. Thankfully most of you never even saw a disruption in service. Make sure the next time you see a town worker they get a "Thank You". We appreciate them and their hard work.

Eight legged Creature of Hagrid’s, came to visit Kenbridge this spooky season! Given to Hagrid as a egg by a traveler. Aragog started his life as the size of small dog and grew into the size we see today! He mostly spends his time in the dark Forrest with his large family awaiting Hagrid’s visits.
