Small towns, extraordinary impact!

One of the things we’ll be talking about at Radically Rural this year is discernment with technology. In that spirit, we're making intentional choices about where we invest our time and energy as an organization. We believe strong communities are built through authentic relationships, and we're looking for ways to focus on more human and values-aligned strategies.

With that in mind, our Facebook account will no longer be active. You can still find us on Instagram and LinkedIn, and our newsletter remains the best way to stay up to date on summit details, upcoming events, and rural stories. https://mailchi.mp/hannahgrimes/rr-newsletter

Julianna and Katia recently traveled to Maine as part of our Radically Rural on the Road initiative, connecting with businesses and organizations reimagining what rural innovation can look like.

They visited University of Maine Process Development Center, where researchers are experimenting with wood fibers as alternatives to Styrofoam and exploring the possibilities of 3D printed homes.

Julianna also delivered the keynote at the Maine Alliance for Health and Prosperity Conference, speaking about radical care for rural communities and the importance of building resilient, interconnected ecosystems.

Along the way, they explored inspiring community-centered spaces like Skowhegan Outdoors Basecamp Gear Library, which shares space with a local coffee shop. They also visited the Center for an Ecology-Based Economy
