recordBar is proud to be a part of the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA), which was formed to provide independent venues and promoters across the country with a resource and community that seeks to keep their stages from ceasing to exist altogether. We were the first to close and will be the last to fully reopen.

Without support from Congress, 90% of NIVA’s independent venues, festivals & promoters across America say they will be forced to close their doors forever. Congress will be voting THIS MONTH, so we need your help NOW. Go to www.SaveOurStages.com to send a letter to Congress. The form for the letter is already filled in. All you need to do is just add your name. It takes less than 30 seconds.

Without inclusion in the next stimulus bill, this might be the last chance for your favorite independent venues, festivals and promoters. Tell your reps that life support for independent venues and promoters must be included.

Even if you’ve written once, please continue to make your voices heard now. Ask your legislators to support and co-sponsor S. 3814/H.R. 7481, the RESTART Act, introduced by Senators Young and Bennet in the Senate and Representatives Golden and Kelly in the House, which would ensure the survival of independent venues, festivals and promoters across the nation.

Jack found this 1938 Tenor Gibson in a dumpster. Jeff buys it. Jack then buys Ben’s ‘60s Harmony Stratotone. Three happy guys. (Ben not shown)

It was a lot of fun being on the parade route yesterday. This catch was captured right in front of the shop. Now we know he was mostly catching beers along the way.

Kind of hated to see this one sell.

Ok folks, we’re just as excited about having this as any other piece in the store! Darren, always on the hunt, bought some rolled up sets of blueprints, two from Kaufman and one from Arrowhead. And after getting home and rolling them out, what do you know, the Arrowhead one is part of the loudspeaker sound system! This is one of the prints, but we also have the original. Go Chiefs! 🏈
