Big Sky Weekend

Hello dear friends! We're going to postpone this weekend's festivities a bit longer. This weekend is Juneteenth, and as a community based around art from the Black American community we've decided that we can best honor our heritage by leaving the space open for the current push that's happening across the world. We will be back at it soon though, and we'll still be compensating the artists involved in a timely way. Thanks for being such an amazing community. We can't wait to see you all on a dance floor as soon as it's wise.

Hello Friends,

We're so sorry to have to cancel Big Sky for this June, but until it's safe for us all to play together we're gonna have to hold off. We will let you know as soon as we have more information on what the next iteration will look like.

In the meantime we're reaching out to the artists we had hired for this year and making sure they don't go empty handed, and we'd love it if you could chip in to whatever part of your local swing dance scene needs some help staying afloat in these difficult times.

If you'd like to contribute to the Syncopation Foundation in particular, there are a couple ways to do that.

Our beloved Jen Hodge is repping Big Sky Weekend at Lindy Focus!

Yesterday was Day 4, and the busiest day of the event for me with 2 rehearsals, 2 performances (each with bass features), and being a guest judge for one of the dance competitions! Good thing my lovely friends and are here, working and hanging respectively, cheering loudly and slipping me the occasional pour of Scotch 😉😉 Thanks friends!! These folks are part of the team who run in Montana, which I've had the pleasure of performing at the past few years in a row. I did feature one of their t shirts last year, but this year's new design by Julia Bakke was just too darn cute for me to not throw it in this year 😃. Love you, friends, thank you so much for doing what you do!!
