Upgraded lawnmowers. They make quick work with mowing the lawn.

Finally quail season. These little guys take the longest the get back into production and the guard turkey has not discover the nesting area yet. Time to remove miss guard turkey so I can start collecting and incubating these little peeps!
Quail will start to arrive in May so be 👀 on the look out! These peeps sell fast.

Jack and Chloe got some supervised time together today. Jack is Chloe’s 1 year old steer calf from last year and he still has a hard time with nursing so it is only supervised playdates for them. Jack will also be going to freezer camp this September and we have all of summer to plump him up the best we can. He will be our first completely home raised steer and I’m excited to see how he turns out. 🥩

We have German Bielefelder hatching eggs available.
This is a great dual purpose docile breed! Best part is you can gender the chicks rite from hatch as roos and pullets have different marking. I had great success last year with hatching. This is my only breed on the farm that I free range. My Roos are both docile calm boys and take great care of the ladies.

I am taking a break this year from chicks to focus around the homestead.

Before you ask… NO I do not have any adults available this is for fertile hatching eggs only.

Walls insulated, skin is on and lights are installed!!

Our steer Jack has some company. I guess the hay filled barn and chicken coop with over 10 nesting box’s isn’t good enough for her. She has a personal body guard.

Out with the old and in with the new!
We have new labels for the milk and I am very happy with the upgrade 🥰
Never hurts to have a savvy computer user in the family either😉
