Three students leveled up this week! This is something to celebrate, not just because “they moved to a new book,” but because they are working diligently in honing their craft, and music is helping shape them as humans! Music is so much more than just learning notes on a page!

I didn’t get pictures of everyone…but lessons are fully underway and have been so much fun! Selecting repertoire and “building chops” is one of my most favorite parts of fall!!

I’m so proud of these students! Performing can be both exciting and nerve-wracking. This recital was a first for several of these musicians, and they were incredible! Bravo!

I’m a BIG fan of taking time to host group classes. Why? Collaborating with other musicians (of all ages and at every level) takes the isolation out of private lessons. Meeting musician friends is life-giving, and practicing performing in front of these friends is another way we can grow our skills as performers. It’s also FUN! Learning the language of music can feel like serious business, but it so important to remember that the joy music brings should also be fun and shared! Thank you for a wonderful week!
