Spent the last couple of Saturdays with Archaea tracking 4 songs for a split vinyl release. Drums, bass and guitar tracked together. Overdubbed vocals and additional guitars. Great to catch up with old friends Tom Antisdale and Tyler Bassett. I worked on past projects with both of them 20+ years ago. Met my neighbor John too! Surprise visits from Mark Larmee and Chad Houts . Those are some tough lookin’ Peavey amps.

Congrats Jack! Jack Austin is a singer/songwriter that I’ve worked with on a number of songs. He “roughs them in” at home, sends me the files, then I add the rest of the instrumentation (drums, bass, guitars etc…) and mix/master it for him here at the studio. He submitted the most recent song to the The Josie Music Awards (held at the Grand Ole Opry) for consideration and won for “Rock Song of the Year.” I really enjoy working on projects like these. It’s a privilege to have someone trust you to help fulfill their vision.

Hope you are well! I wanted to reach out and let you know that this past weekend GET AWAY won Rock Song of the Year at the Josie Music Awards at the Grand Ole Opry. This award is just as much yours as it is mine! I wouldn't have been able to get the song where I needed to without you and all your amazing talents. New ride! Complete with flip-up arms for guitar time and fast escapes.

I had the pleasure of working with Morgan Johanna on her first record this past Summer. It’s a mixed batch of Pop, Rock and Indie songs that came together to make a well thought-out record.

She had a very clear idea of what she wanted to do when we started, but was willing to let the process take over and guide the project to the finish. The tracking process was relatively fast, even though there was a great amount of experimentation. Very quick “yes”, or “no” decisions were made about takes and sounds that kept things moving along.

Her record "Good Person" is out now. Recorded, mixed and mastered at Broadside Productions. Congrats !

Very sad to hear Pete Moreno passed away. Thanks for everything Pete. Your time and patience meant a lot to me and many others. R.I.P. old friend.

Recently finished studio kitchen. Been chipping away at it since Covid. Finally installed appliances a couple of months ago. HOT POCKETS for everyone!
