Club Vortex wants to continue our celebration of Pride Month by offering a chance for LGBTQIA artist and resellers a chance to display their crafts and goods. We have 10 spots open in our upper level for you to promote and sell your stuff for this Saturday. Message us to reserve your spot and for more details.

Not sure where to begin or where to end this message. This past weekend was nothing short of an absolutely amazing Pride weekend.

There are so many people who helped make this weekend special. First and foremost, it starts with each and every one of you — our community, friends, families, and allies. The amount of support and love that filled the club all weekend long was incredible. Everyone came out to celebrate, and it truly showed with the overwhelming turnout.

I want to give some special thanks to a few people who helped make it all happen.

First, my sidekick that everyone jokes about. If you ask anyone in the club who Danny’s biggest pain in the ass is, they’ll all shout, “Brad Simmons!” 😂 In all seriousness, Brad is one of my biggest rocks. Week after week, he helps tackle challenges, solve problems, and keeps things moving forward. I couldn’t do it without him.

To my husband, Mario Gonzales, thank you for always standing beside me. From helping manage the club to coordinating our drag shows and working closely with our DJs, your dedication and hard work never go unnoticed.

A huge thank you to Kim for taking care of our merchandise, helping with setup, and overseeing everything behind the scenes. Your attention to detail and willingness to jump in wherever needed means so much. Also a huge thank you to Blaise lovely wife for jumping in at the last minute to help Kim.

To Bob and Brandy DeYoung — thank you both for running the door all weekend. You handled it like seasoned pros and helped keep everything running smoothly from start to finish.

To our incredible performers, and GoGo dancers thank you for bringing your talent, energy, creativity, and passion to the stage. You helped create unforgettable moments throughout the weekend and reminded everyone why live entertainment is such an important part of our community. Putting their names out there and talent so a lot of dedication and I know is truly appreciated by all.

A special thank you to our DJs, who kept the energy high and the dance floor packed all weekend long. Your music helped create the soundtrack to an unforgettable Pride celebration.

To our food vendor, thank you for keeping everyone fed and happy each night this weekend. Your support and partnership helped make the event even more enjoyable for everyone who attended.

To our amazing staff, security team, volunteers, and everyone who stepped up behind the scenes, thank you. Many of the things you do often go unseen, but they are absolutely essential to making an event like this successful. Your hard work, commitment, and dedication are greatly appreciated.

Also a huge thank you to the owner Peter Stavros and his team for allowing us to use Blue Dolphin as our safe space and having such amazing bartenders. Again Thank you !!

I believe this was a huge success for our community. It showed that we’re still here, we’re still strong, and we’re still committed to moving forward and providing a place where our community can come together, celebrate, and feel at home.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who attended, supported, danced, laughed, celebrated, and helped create the welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that Pride is all about.

My heart is full. Seeing our community come together reminds me why we do what we do. Thank you all for making Pride 2026 one for the books.

Being Kalamazoo’s only weekly LGBTQIA nightclub, we want to make Kalamazoo Pride’s a huge celebration and add that with rising costs everywhere—especially fuel—we know things are tight for a lot of people. And the last thing we want is for that to stop our community from showing up, celebrating, and being unapologetically YOU.
