The very first extreme glow disc golf course was developed by Stephanai Myers, author of Disc Golf Michigan, at Hoxeyville Music Festival in Northern Michigan in 2009. Inspired by the Sherwood Forest, an enchanted forest featured at the Rothbury music festival, Stephanai and her team used 2,000 glow sticks, adorning the baskets with over 100 each and in the trees lining the fairways.
