There’s two things lately that have been on my mind…

A photograph isn’t real till you can hold it. Print it or shoot film, make it something real that you can touch.
You won’t be showing your grandkids a 40 year old hard drive that doesn’t work.

Secondly, film is becoming a normality to me. Creatively we all get burnt out, film somehow elevates this. Maybe it’s knowing the image isn’t numerical sensor data but actual photons of light.

From here on, I’m incorporating film into my look,
Of course digital has to stay, obvious technical advantages make it a necessity. Film can’t do it all, but it can do things digital can’t, and thats the way it looks.

Influencing products based solely on monetary gain is what is killing the art of photography. So often are people sold a solution to a manufactured problem, in art there is no right and no wrong. I chase art not number charts.

Things I won’t do:

•sell something or advertise a product that I don’t truly like.

•photography only for money. Of course it’s a job but it’s what I love, it’s my passion to provide real value not just business.

Hey everyone! I'm looking for long term models. These are paid position and a regular schedule 1-3 times per month. Modeling will take part in video productions such as gear testing, me teaching photography skills and other photography related video work. If you’re interested send me a message!

Does gear matter? Yes, does that mean you can’t create without a $9,000 camera? No. These were taken with my iPhone. Having a clear vision of what you want to see before you take photos will always be the most important part. Who doesn’t love flowers!?!?
