Academy 26-1 Week 1 is complete

Recently, our department began the tradition of issuing Leather Helmets to every member upon the completion of their Probationary Year. This was a long term investment that ultimately saves money, and heavily increases morale.

This helmet stays with the member until the end of their career, which means upon certain promotions they will need to have the helmet painted/refurbished to signify their new rank. A big Thank You to Ragtop Fire for keeping the tradition alive and providing us a resource.

The Cadre were also issued new Helmets and Helmet Fronts to be used during training. This will assist in keeping the Leather Helmets in good shape, while allowing us to have longer burn times. That means we can train our members without the worry of damaging equipment. Another huge Thank You to Hellfront Co. for the exceptional craftsmanship that shows off our culture of excellence.

Academy 26-1 Day One Week One. Administrative week.

This will be the recruits introductory week. They will be issued PPE, complete all the necessary paperwork, and participate in ride-alongs with our dispatch and EMS transport service. The real work begins next week.

Firemanship 2026

Five of our members were blessed with the opportunity to participate in some of the most high level training available. The lessons learned from the last week are immensely valuable to our department.

Three days of Lectures, two days of H.O.T. all in the name of increasing our capability to serve.

1,014 POUNDS of Food donated…

Last weekend, we had the pleasure of gathering at Walmart on 111th & Elm to accept donations for the Jenks Community Food Bank. This was the largest donation we have been able to make to date, and we can’t be more grateful to everyone who contributed.

Walmart also made a considerable cash donation towards the Food Drive, which as a Local we voted to match. This allowed us to make the largest donation possible to feed as many people in need as we can.

Massive thank you to the team at Walmart, Jenks Community Food Bank, Local 2567 members, Jenks City Leadership, and the Fire Department Administration for all allowing us to do events like this.

Sharks In The Park 2026

What a success! Thank you to all the families who came out, and weathered the storm right at the start of the event. It ended up being well worth it and we had a blast!

Come out to the Aquarium tonight for one of the most fun events we do all year !! We will have a Fire Truck spraying water, a splashpad setup, and a mini FireFighter obstacle course. We hope to have one of the largest turnouts this year🥳

Join us tomorrow evening (July 11th) for Sharks in the Park. A free community event in front of the Oklahoma Aquarium. The festivities will kick off at 7:00 PM and conclude with the best drone show in the Tulsa area around 9:30 PM. We can’t wait to sea everyone!
