I'm a SAHM that has been crocheting most of my life. I learned from a young age and was taught by my grandma. I love anything and everything fiber arts. Hey all!

I'm making it my mission to show the world just how fun and cool these "old lady crafts" are! My name is Katie Sayers. I'm a fiber artist based out of West Michigan. I mostly focus crochet anything. On the side, I fiddle around with sewing and sometimes knitting. If you're looking for something specific, do not hesitate to ask about commissions! I'm almost always down to make that something special for you!

Got this yarn holder last weekend. It's perfect for when it's nice enough to work outside. 😌

A few years ago, j got a bunch of this glorious merino wool to spin on my wheel. Its just been just sitting there around into hanks. Yesterday, i cast on with it. Not entirely sure what im making yet, but I'll figure it out as I go.

And thus I'm back at it after I had a wee mishap of a busted needle. Thankfully had some mini needles. They saved my sanity for sure lol.

No better way to spend some chill time than hanging out in my new (to me at least) hanging hammock chair outside knitting and enjoying the warmth of the sun and listening to the birds and random tree frog.

Sometimes, a good homemade iced coffee break is an absolute must.

Now back to my regularly scheduled program of yarn....

Btw, is beyond tasty! Where has this been my whole life?!

It was indie bookstore day. Didn't make it to any bookstores unfortunately. So instead, I wore a bookish shirt.

Created and made this design for my bestie and I. It turned out awesome! Definitely a pain in the arse to w**d, but it looks great!

I dyed this yarn back in 2020. I am only just now getting around to using it lol.

I'm still tickling the idea of getting back into small batch yarn dying bc dying yarn is a blast......

I cannot stress how cool I think purple is in nature.

So say you steep a purple flower (like the grape hyacinth i used) or red cabbage in water. The water will be a weird grey ish blue ish color.

If you add an acid to said water (lowering the pH), it turns this glorious magenta color.
If you add a base to said water (increasing the pH), it turns this swampy green blue color.

I friggin love natures little pH indicators!!!

Found an old project from about a year ago. No idea who the creator is if this mosaic granny square. I also have no idea what these squares will become.

Any ideas out there in internet land?

It's been nearly 2 weeks since I finished my last project. It was an epic project. I gifted it yesterday. I took a massive sigh after finishing that project.

For the first time in the decades that I have been fiddling with yarn, I dont know what to do next.

Every time I pick up my crochet hooks or knitting needles, I just get frustrated. I want to make something. NEED to make something.

I'm currently at beyond a loss to do.

Do I ride or this moment? Do I keep trying to make things? Do I attempt a something other than a fiber art?

Somebody. Anybody. Can I get some insight?
