Providing protection for Michigan farmers, families & businesses

January has kicked off well with opportunities for insurance reviews for both households and businesses.

We’ve been catching things that were overlooked by thier previous agents, cleaning up dated policies, and in some cases lowering premiums without cutting coverage.

If you haven’t had someone actually look at your policies in a while, I’m happy to take a look and give you a straight answer.

Happy New Year.

Every January, for most families, getting finances in order is one of the top goals or resolutions for the year and that looks different for everyone.

Sometimes it’s cutting back and lowering monthly bills.
Other times it’s making sure the people you love are taken care of if something life altering happens.

Insurance plays a part in both.

That’s why an insurance review is a good place to start. If it makes sense to stay where you’re at, we’ll tell you. If there are changes you should make, we’ll walk through them with you.

Sometimes that means paying less.
Sometimes it means adding life insurance or adjusting coverage.

Either way, you’ll know where you stand.

Comment REVIEW or send a message and we’ll take a look together.

Frozen pipes are one of the most common winter problems Ive seen as an agent, and they usually surprise people.

When temperatures drop, water inside the pipe can freeze and expand. That pressure can cause the pipe to crack or burst. The real damage usually shows up when things thaw and water starts running into walls, ceilings, and floors.

From an insurance standpoint, this is often a covered loss when it’s sudden and accidental. But there’s an important catch most homeowners don’t realize. Coverage can depend on whether reasonable steps were taken to keep the home heated and maintained. Vacant homes, turned-off heat, or ignored issues can complicate a claim fast.

The good news is this is very preventable.
Keeping heat consistent, opening cabinets on exterior walls during extreme cold, insulating exposed pipes, and knowing where your main shut-off is can save a lot of stress and expense.

I share this because I’d rather help you avoid a claim than walk you through one.

If you’re unsure how frozen pipe damage works on your policy, or just want to be proactive heading into winter, I’m always happy to talk it through.

Quick story from yesterday

I had a handful of people call me who aren’t even my clients. Their agent was closed or they couldn’t get through, and they just needed someone to help right then.

That’s what being local should look like. Being available. Showing up.

If you want an agent who actually answers, explains things in plain English, and makes sure your home, auto, and life coverage is right, I’ve got you.

If you’ve been meaning to get a review done before the new year, today’s a good day to start.

Shoot me a message and I’ll take care of the rest.
