It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that I need to convey my precious Joshua was peacefully put to rest this past Saturday, June sixth. His abrupt and way too soon passing came after a brief and devastating battle with cancer. He was only 6 1/2 years old.

Joshua, my fourth Golden Retriever, (Jake, Tucker and Nicholas) was utterly perfect every day on this earth. He was sweet and gentle, kind and attentive. He was always the perfect host and guest. The perfect little brother to Nicholas, Josh ultimately became his seeing eye dog for the last two years of his life. He was my unwavering and steadfast companion dedicated to my happiness and safety. He never let me out of his sight. These are very heavy days, as this is the first time in nearly 36 years I have been without a dog. I have always had crossover and passing of the torch with my Golden Retrievers. And the same emptiness exists at The Write Touch with nearly 40 years of dogs.

Josh will be remembered for his stunning good looks, joyful personality, playfulness and fierce desire to please. He loved to swim, retrieve, roll in the grass, snuggle, be snuggled and could play "chuck it" forever.

Sadly forever is not an option.

I am comforted to know he is at peace and will be missed as much as he was loved.
