It’s been a few months since I have walked with a brace or a cane and it’s not easy but I got sick of relying on this crutch literally. I know my leg looks like a glow stick or sticks out like whiteboiii with a fro but I have been hiding these legs because I am still not fully confident.

It’s stupid I know but for decades I felt like the Devil was hunting me down and on 7 December he found me and took his chance to take my life.

I’ll have to explain the series of events that lead to the freak accident and the route of the actual events but they all start at one end of the road and end at the end of my driveway!

You can’t even tell I can’t walk right because I refuse to take medications for pain or spasms, I refuse to take muscle relaxers or any meds for that note!

I am getting better because I can tell what hurts and I am able to focus on strengthening that specific area of weakness or pain. The mobility is at a major decrease but the ability to support my weight has increased significantly.

This leads me to believe that without one single physical therapy appointment or any exercises for that matter my leg is growing muscle and slowly building itself back!

This is why I always say
“When you wake up and rise up let both feet hit the floor…..”
Three things accomplished right there
1. God blessed you with another day
2. You were able to lift your head and body up off the bed!
3. You were capable of supporting your own weight and balancing yourself no matter the assistance or if you did it all on your own!!!!

You want to do something;
“Never listen to the nay sayers, find out the prerequisites (requirements) and start your journey”!

Every day is an opportunity to expand your horizon and lay another paving stone!

Life is tough but when it rains the only thing you can do is just let it rain, besides it can’t rain all the time!!!

The Moment you realize that People are People before they are Artists, Producers, Farmers or mechanics is the moment you will realize you can not change minds, control others thoughts or actions, and that you should just focus on “You” while you still have time to!

Nothing wrong with helping others in the process; but NEVER forget about “You”

Hard to feed a household if you’re not willing to sacrifice your hunger for the first 3-5 years!

Difficult to give someone a “Leg Up” if you yourself have yet to make the “First Step”!

Love is not easy but People will go through hell and back to prove its worth!

Trust is built off of loyalty but we lie to ourselves all the time!

Put “YOU” first and stop worrying about who’s next up; Be The One in the BG moving like a 🥷 and be everywhere and on everything nobody expects you to be!!

Ms. Tori Juvenile Welfare Board of Pinellas County is a sweetheart and welcomed me with a smile when I reached out for the information.

Some key things here to keep in mind if you are needing assistance listed below to speed up things for you and yours.

1. MUST be a Pinellas County resident currently.

2. Kids enrolled into Pinellas County School systems

3. 4 weeks of pay stubs showing that you can maintain a job and provide support after the assistance is provided.

4. A welcome letter is helpful.

Please note that this can take 12-14 business days once applied for and there are many opportunities if you follow these little steps I mentioned in the beginning.
