If I’ve learned anything through this health coaching journey, it’s to be present. Present with my husband and kids, present with clients and with friends. I don’t think I realized how many meaningful moments I’d lost to worry, to-do lists or trying to have the right response. And when I started paying more attention, I noticed conversations with others where I felt like the other person was.. somewhere else? This made me notice it even more in myself, I’d be talking with my kids while mentally scrolling through my schedule that day and realizing I didn’t hear the last 3 sentences they said. I’m hearing sniffles around the house :: enter orange and ginger/honey shots 💛💛💛 Who else loves ginger like I do?

Pensacola sunset and some time spent grounding to end our sweet and much needed vacation 💙

Our bedroom is a mess, the dishes need to be done, laundry (always) needs cleaning… the list is long but I feel like crud. While I previously would have pushed myself through the headache and congestion, I’m choosing to have tea, lay in bed and give myself time.

When did taking a pill and covering our symptoms become the norm? I understand there’s a time and place where that might be necessary but if you can, listen to what your body is telling you and give it what it needs. It’s a natural instinct I believe we were born with but becomes suppressed and we just stop listening. Headaches, stomach aches, congestion, repetitive pangs of discomfort, fatigue.. they’re all telling you something.

So today, I’m listening. With that, goodnight 😴
