Phelps Effect

Saturday workouts involve discipline, dedication, and strength, especially, when it's 50° outside, and there's NO sign of it warming up anytime soon. Strength, right?! Absolutely! But waking up to my daily devotion reminded me that being "meek" takes strength as well. The meek and gentle are so often seen as weak. In our world, to be gentle or meek takes true strength. To turn the other cheek, to refuse to seek revenge, to walk away from a confrontation are all seen as signs of weakness. Yet, our Heavenly Father tells us thats those who are meek will inherit the earth and those who hunger and thirst for righteousness shall be satisfied. 🙏

We thank you. We proudly remember you. Today, we celebrate service, sacrifice, and selflessness. We can never bring back our fallen soldiers, but we can honor them in our daily actions. May your Memorial Day be filled with pride, honor and remembrance. 🇺🇲
