The Life Groups

Posted • This is Christopher Alam, one of our missions partners here at Word of Life! Christoper was born into a Muslim family. When he received Christ in 1975, he was immediately confined in a mental asylum for his faith, but he would not be deterred. He responded to God's call on his life and began preaching the Gospel. He was arrested several times, imprisoned for nearly a year. After being threatened with ex*****on, Christopher left his country, eventually finding sanctuary in Sweden. Dynamis World Ministries began in 1983 as Christopher and his team started ministering behind the Iron Curtain in communist Poland. Over the years, they held many crusades and saw many miracles that drove people to Christ. From there on out, Dynamis began to preach in countries all over the world, seeing people saved and healed by the power of God. To date, Christopher has preached in over 75 countries and Dynamis Ministries has seen 1500 churches planted as a result of their work. Today, Dynamis Ministries holds 10-12 Gospel Festivals each year. Their main focus is on Africa and Asia, targeting unreached people groups and large non-Christian populations. 2019 was an amazing year! Thousands upon thousands of salvations and hundreds of confirmed healings! We’re honored to partner with Dynamis for God’s Kingdom! And we says thanks to YOU for helping make it possible. Our people from that have a heart for Salvation Army during our monthly 3rd Saturday Outreach in stocking the shelves with food. Your Life Group can join in on the fun in sharing the love of Jesus.

A few pictures of our people from at VA Nursing Home 3rd Saturday Outreach. As Life Group season is approaching for the Fall, your group will have opportunities to connect and go into the city of Jackson to share the love of God with our local partners.

This past Saturday had a team out at the Dogwood shopping area in Flowood. They handed out ice cold drinks & offered prayer to the shoppers. Over 100 people received prayer in the 2 hours they were there!

Exciting to see our people from be the hands and feet of Jesus at one of our 3rd Saturday Outreach at Salvation Army. They made shelving better for food pantry items that we supply monthly. I love seeing our people enjoy what they do!!

We get photos and stories frequently about Life Groups that still meet occasionally several years after the group semester has ended. We love seeing lifetime friendships made through groups!

Did you know? Some of the Serve teams at have their own Life Group during the summer. This allows for their team to connect & get poured into outside of Sunday’s.

At we love seeing next steps being taken! Every Sunday at 10:00 AM we have our serve team orientation. We hope to see you there soon! @ Flowood, Mississippi

In the Model Men Life Group we learned about the role of a Christian man and what it means to be an example to others! We also learned that we as men are not alone in our life experiences. Other men have experienced the same things! It allowed us to share our testimonies!

The Life Groups semester is in the home stretch and we’re excited to hear the stories from the groups that met right here at the church on nights like tonight! @ Word of Life

It was awesome to fellowship with some of our Life Group leaders last night as we head down the home stretch of the semester. We can’t wait to see what’s ahead!
