Insights Out-back: Steve's father used to tell him to stifle himself for a minute. Sit still. Don't talk. Think about other people before yourself.
It is easier said than done. But Steve says once you make it a daily practice, it becomes a habit, and once it is a habit, you benefit far more than you ever could chasing things just for yourself.

The Outback Outfront food truck made the trip to CARA's Dog Days of Summer, and our team was right there serving up lunch for everyone who came out to support the shelter animals.
Days like this are exactly what community support is all about. Proud of this crew.

Insights Out-back: Some people build a business to take as much out of it as they can. Steve's spent his career building the opposite kind - one where the money gets poured back into the people and the communities that make it possible.
That's the kind of longevity that doesn't just benefit one person at the top. It benefits everybody.

CARA has been rescuing animals and finding them homes in the Jackson area for years. Every dog that comes through their shelter gets vaccinated, examined, microchipped, and spayed or neutered before they ever find a new family. That takes real resources, and Dog Days of Summer is how the community helps make it happen.
JR-Outback is proud to have been a part of this one for a long time. Congratulations to CARA on 17 years.
