throwing and pitching, sometimes confused for each other, sometimes fused into one, but both are completely different. at a young age you can get away with being a thrower on the mound; everyone usually only throws fastballs, maybe a changeup is taught, etc. but PITCHING is what you have to do at the higher levels if you want to continue to take the mound every couple days

this post is a shoutout to our Bottom Seam Training PITCHING COACH, Kaden Kendle, and the amazing job he has done so far as a 1st year pitching coach for the Notre Dame Bulldogs

those numbers show PITCHING, those numbers show keeping hitters off balance, not giving them a rhythm or consistent sequence to accurate guess what pitch is coming next to ambush. if you want your ballplayer, of any age, to start learning from the best, go visit his page and schedule lessons with him, you WILL NOT regret it

no school means more opportunities to get better. we have a ton of open time slots for anyone and everyone to get their work in, starting at 10am each morning. let’s take advantage of all this extra time and stay on track as games and seasons take off

who’s ready for some chaos? our 3-team fantasy baseball league has its rules set, and is ready for the livestream draft this sunday. prepare for some player snipes, some big names to be taken, and also even more big names left on the board for nobody to have. you won’t want to miss out on this one

we have something incredibly fun coming your way later today in the form of a video podcast. there are very few rules to it other than having fun. we will have a script but that doesn’t mean we are 100% sticking to it, so interact with us, give us more ideas for future episodes, and join in on the fun with us

NEW BAT FOR CHRISTMAS??

if you plan to get or give a new bat to a baseball/softball player this Christmas, ask yourself this question…..would i rather my kid hit .350 with a smaller bat that he CAN CONTROL or would i rather them hit .250 with a bat that’s way too big and looks like the bat swings them?

if your child can’t control a 33” bat, they don’t need to be swinging a 33” bat. i see so many kids that try swinging a bat that’s way too heavy for them and they consistently pop up. we swap it out for a “drill” that uses a smaller bat and they start roping line drives. it’s not because what we are teaching just magically worked in 3 seconds, it’s because they are actually using a bat that fits their size and strength profile

just think about this Christmas as presents are getting open. maybe keep the receipt nearby as well, just in case it needs to get sent back to Santa and resized for the player
