Announcement! LocalFiber meeting Sunday, February 22nd, at 2pm at Sweet Meadow Farm in Ithaca, NY, off of Rt. 96b. Contact Sarah Davis for the address. Members were sent an email invitation on 2/12 with details. New members are always welcome!

Amy will send out an agenda next week, via email but highlights will include a report on the 2025 pop up store and some discussion about the NYS Fair, Wool Center bid, and discussion about the website. Other agenda items should be sent to Amy L Glaser, email or phone is best.

As usual, we will have some drinks and snacks available.

PLEASE bring your checkbook or cash to pay your annual membership fee of $25! Your treasurer will be thrilled to take your payment!

Parking may be tight - especially if we still have all this snow - you might want to carpool.

From Nairn Museum’s agricultural collections, here’s a flax heckler! Did you know that “heckling” as a term for shouting an interruption was started in Dundee by flax hecklers, who would have one person read a newspaper as they laboured, and would shout out their response to the stories!

The popup is sadly coming to an end. This has been an incredibly successful year. Made possible because of all of our customers and supporters. The myriad of the lovely fiber goods in multiple forms. The creativity we have within our community is inspiring. It is wonderful being able to share this fiber joy with our fiber-loving community.

Sunday 12/28 is our last shopping day. After closing, we will be assembling products from all of our participants into organized groups to facilitate pickup.

We will be removing furniture Monday and Tuesday and would like to have everything out of the shop by the end of the day Tuesday. Anything left in the shop will be moved to Amy's workshop and can be picked up there.

Thank you to everyone for your hard work, heart, and wonderful company keeping our shop open and making it a lovely and inviting place for our customers. A special thank you to all of our teachers, presenters, artists, and demonstrators who inspired us to reach a little deeper into ourselves and try something new.
