Tangled Threads

Here’s a few pictures of my finished Autumn Charm Star quilt. I’ve made several of these star quilts with Christmas fabric, and now I have one for fall. I want to make one for every season of the year. My daughter already snagged this as her favorite quilt… but she has to wait because I entered it in our local quilt show this weekend! If you’re local come on by the Covington Quilters Quilt Show at Jenkins Creek Elementary school in Covington this Friday and Saturday from 10am - 4pm. Hope to see you there!

Quilt finished!

Oh I love how this quilt turned out. This is my newest classic quilt pattern I named Bell Street after the street I grew up on. The rose background fabric and Liberty Iris floral print I used for the Irish chain block reminds me of my mom Iris.

I love the quilting too, my friend Pam helped me stitch this out with the Playfull Roses panto on her Gammill longarm. Isn’t it pretty! 🌹

Oh my goodness, I have a new obsession - longarm quilting! I love that APQS in Issaquah lets you rent time on their machines. Taking a quilt all the way from sketchbook to finished top and longarm quilting it myself is just the best! Have you tried longarm quilting?

Quilt top finish! I planned this quilt over a year ago and finally had a chance to make it. I used the beautiful Flower Garden fabric collection by Hang Tight Studio for Cloud9 Fabrics. It’s so fun to bring a quilt mock-up to life!

What is your favorite quilt block?

For me it’s the LeMoyne Star ⭐️ they’re so classic and pretty!
