Even if you e-file, make a copy in case that hard drive goes out on you.

When it comes time to mail your tax package to the IRS, your Postal Connections store can do that for you too. They will make sure your tax forms are correctly bundled and that they get postmarked and mailed prior to or on April 15th.

Following are five facts about taxes in the US.
1.The Civil War was the impetus for the first income tax. The Revenue Act passed by the 1861 Congress assessed a flat tax of 3% on all incomes over $800 (equivalent to about $20,000 today).

2.Information from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) suggests that US citizens are one of the least taxed in the world ranking 26th out of 28 developed countries. (Note: This includes all taxes, not just income taxes.)

3.In 2011, local, state and federal governments collected a total of $3.77 trillion in taxes. This came to an average of about $31,774 for every US household.

4.Almost 90% of individual tax returns are filed electronically.

5.The cost of cat food could be considered a legitimate deductible expense. The IRS approved a junkyard owner's cat food expense saying that it was a legitimate business expense because the cat drove away the mice and rats (That won't work on your house cat, Frisky, who does nothing but sleep all day!)
