I'm taking the SunPower training class next week and I have to study before I go. I love this graph. The better production from the start, just gets even better over time compared to the competition.

We had some digging out to do the other day. It's amazing what 12 guys can do with snow shovels!!! Lots of people calling in with comfort issues. Air seal + insulate = cozy home.

This was taken by Ron Miller one of our crew leads at the start of a job. It shows what happens when warm conditioned air leaking up from the house hits the cold roof deck. You get condensation and on a REALLY cold day like we've had the last 2 days, you get ice crystals.

Those white dots are actually nails that are covered with frost. The moisture is coming from the house. You can see the dark discoloration of the wood where it has been wet a lot. Eventually that would turn to mold if we did not fix the air leakage issue.

Who knew that reducing air leakage from a house might reduce moisture and save your roof even as you are saving money and having a more comfortable house? Actually, we've been saying it for years. 😉

Snow Shows
Can you guess which roof was our customer? People don't realize how much heat they lose though their attic. If you insulate properly, the attic stays cold, the roof stays cold and the snow stays cold. The homeowners on the right are literally paying though their utility bill (Electric Heat in this case) to melt the snow on their roof.
