For all the ladies who want their husbands to only speak soft words to the kiddos all the time, especially boys and especially when they’re facing hard things, take heed how God the Father spoke to His son, Job, in his greatest moments of despair:

“Gird up your loins now like a man: I will demand of you, and declare you unto me… Will you condemn me, that you may be justified? Have you an arm like GOD? or can you thunder with a voice like him?”

In other words, put your big boy paints on and get up!

How often do we, for judgement and pride, condemn our brothers and sisters? If God condemns us not, who are we to do so?
