Celebrating Nurses and Nursing Home Week by supporting our friends at Capistrano Beach Care Center. While there’s only so much we can do to give back to those who serve our wonderful community, we are incredibly grateful for their partnership in providing continuous care from the hospital to the home. 🏡

April is Parkinson's Awareness month. Parkinson’s disease is a progressive neurological condition that affects movement, balance, and coordination. Its impact goes far beyond what we can see.

Here are a few key things to know:
🧠 It’s caused by a loss of dopamine-producing cells in the brain
🤝 Symptoms can include tremors, stiffness, slowed movement, and changes in speech
💬 Non-movement symptoms like sleep issues, mood changes, and memory challenges are also common
👥 Every person’s experience with Parkinson’s is different

While there is currently no cure, early support, consistent care, and the right resources can make a meaningful difference in quality of life.

This month is about raising awareness, supporting those affected, and reminding caregivers and families that they’re not alone!

Our Care Manager, Francine, has shared with us that her Mother, Jo Ann recently celebrated her 96th birthday!

She shared a little more with us as well.. her Mother's priorities include faith, family, and friends. She says that her secret to a long life is to have a purpose to each day. This gives Jo Ann something to look forward to when she wakes up every morning. What a wonderful piece of advice!
