Alabama Spay/Neuter will take up to 3 feral cats in traps per caretaker/trapper. Cats must come in on Mondays. We no longer accept cats on Tuesdays.
We will accept a maximum of 30 feral cats per week. After we have admitted 30 cats on any Monday, we will have to decline the admission of other feral cats that week.
Reminder: The cost for feral cats is $40 each. This includes the spay/neuter surgery, a Rabies Vaccination, and a FVRCP Vaccination.

Very important update regarding feral cat intake:

You guys! I can’t tell you enough how important it is to keep a tag on your furry adventure buddy! And to Microchip!

I found this little princess on the trail; she was scared, shaking, and looking for her humans. She had a leash and a collar but no tag. So, there was no way to contact the caregiver.
I picked her up and carried her like a baby on the trail. lol. She immediately stopped shaking, lil sweety. We did finally track down her family after networking on the trail for a while.
She got lucky. Many times, (if a person is able to find and help them) lost babes are taken to a shelter or veterinarian where they can checked for a microchip. The microchip is a tiny chip inserted between the shoulder blades. (A very quick and safe procedure) The clinician waves a special wand over the chip and a number appears. This number is the access key to all the information someone would need to contact the caregiver. So, for some reason, if your pet does not have their tag, they will always have a back up.

Please, TAG and microchip your fur babies!

Alabama Spay/Neuter offers the microchip at the time of the s/n procedure. We also give a rabies tag to all critters receiving the Rabies Vaccine. Call (205) 956-0012 for more information.
