Homeward Bound Pet Rescue in South Carolina is an all-volunteer 501c3 organization committed to saving lives. We believe in educating the public on the importance of spaying/neutering and heartworm prevention. Our goal is for unwanted, stray, homeless pets to be adopted, loved family members.

Update on Dodger from the Columbia Animal Services, now named Petey! Petey was to be euthanized at 5 PM last week when we were asked to help. A great foster stepped up, enabling us to say yes to this amazing boy. THANK YOU all who have donated and will continue to contribute. Petey had orthopedic surgery last Friday to repair the broken bones in his front leg. He is recovering and even smiling while he naps. Such a great boy. Thanks to Aaron, Chelsea, Tami and all who made this possible!

Not what we had planned, BUT this boy needed urgent help to avoid euthanasia so we sprung into action. Meet Dodger from the Columbia Animal Services He arrived with two complete breaks in a front leg and will need orthopedic surgery! Dodger remains happy and sweet in spite of it all. This 1 yr old, 37 lb boy is resilient and we can't wait to get his leg fixed and see him living his best life! Homewardboundrescuesc.com to contribute!
