Today marks the end of another era. I have one more vehicle on the schedule for Monday. It will be the last vehicle I work on at this location. For whatever reason my landlord decided to lease my shop out from under me after 9 years. So for the next 8 days I will be packing up the shop while trying to find a different location, temporary storage, or buyers for equipment and I'll go do something else.
It's been a good run. Many customers, IF I just get out of the business, will attain great levels of sticker shock when they price other shops for repairs. Maybe I pampered some too much? 😉
To all who stuck with me, I THANK YOU!! When I know the script for the next era, I will let everyone know.

Saw this on a buddy's page, and it's too good not to share.
A gynecologist had become fed up with malpractice insurance and paperwork, and was burned out. Hoping to try another career where skillful hands would be beneficial, he decided to become a mechanic. He went to the local technical college, signed up for evening classes, attended diligently, and learned all he could. When the time of the practical exam approached, the gynecologist prepared carefully for weeks, and completed the exam with tremendous skill. When the results came back, he was surprised to find that he had obtained a score of 150%. Fearing an error, he called the Instructor, saying, "I don't want to appear ungrateful for such an outstanding result, but I wonder if there is an error in the grade?" "The instructor said, "During the exam, you took the engine apart perfectly, which was worth 50% of the total mark. You put the engine back together again perfectly, which is also worth 50% of the mark." After a pause, the instructor added, "I gave you an extra 50% because you did it all through the exhaust pipe, which I've never seen done in my entire career".

I was pretty busy this week, even on Independence Day (just not here), so I failed to post that July 5th, 2017 is day 1 of year #6. I have a hard time believing this shop has been open (and survived) 5 years already.

Just make sure to have the cameras rolling and it might be worth a few thousand$.

It helps if you put all the bellhousing and motor mount bolts in and tighten them. I'm pretty sure the motor wanted to be somewhere else though....even with no legs.

It is common knowledge that if there are no spare parts, especially when working on the dash, you did it wrong. ;)
