HACAP Administering Disaster Assistance Program for Low-Income individuals Impacted by Recent Storms

If you experienced storm damage on Friday, March 31st, and live in Johnson County, Kim Reynolds has announced you can apply for the Iowa Individual Assistance Grant Program to help with relief for items including home or car repairs, replacement of clothing or food, and temporary housing expenses.

HACAP Administering Disaster Assistance Program for Low-Income individuals Impacted by Recent Storms The Iowa Individual Assistance Grant Program (IIAGP) provides grants of up to $5,000 for households with incomes up to 200 percent of the federal poverty level.

Another round of severe weather is looking likely for Tuesday afternoon into the evening. While we are still working on jobs from Friday's storm, we are always Here to help.

A significant threat for severe weather will exist Tuesday afternoon into early Wednesday AM. Damaging winds, tornadoes and hail are all main threats Tuesday into Wednesday. We could see multiple rounds of storms.

Shelter available in Coralville

Our team has been in contact with local officials in the areas impacted by today's tornadoes and storms to assess the needs of the communities. Working with partners, we are opening a shelter at the Coralville Recreation Center (1506 8th Street, Coralville, IA) at 9 p.m.
