We will be CLOSED Wednesday, December 25th, Thursday, December 26th, and January 1st, 2025.

Our Story
Cook's Jewelry has been owned and operated by the Cook Family for nearly 70 years, beginning in 1951 and spanning three generations. The store was founded in Tipton, Iowa by Louie and Virginia Cook. It proudly stood as an iconic landmark in Tipton for over five decades until their retirement. Upon learning the trade from his parents, and attending Gem City College to study watchmaking and goldsmithing, their son Steve Cook opened a second store in downtown Iowa City in 1984. After quickly outgrowing this location, Steve moved the business to Eastdale Plaza on the east side of Iowa City, where it has now been for over 30 years. Steve was joined by his wife, Cindy, and completed several store expansions in the 1990's. Their son, Ben Cook, has now taken ownership of the store after apprenticing his parents for over a decade.
Cook's Jewelry has a reputable history of serving eastern Iowa with their fine jewelry products, time pieces, and impeccable service. Our philosophy has always been to put the customer first by providing the highest quality products, with the highest standard of service and care.
